FRANKENMUTH, MI (WNEM) -

Thousands walked together to benefit a national cause.

The 20th annual Multiple Sclerosis Walk started at the Harvey Kern Pavilion in Frankenmuth.

The national event helps fuel groundbreaking research and provides life-changing services to those affected by creating a supportive community of friends, families, and loved ones.

“Anything like this to try and get cures it’s important so and every year this event always has a lot of people,” said David Paquette, a volunteer at the event.

Organizers expect to raise more than $100,000 towards research.

MS is a disease of the nervous system that disrupts the flow of information to the brain.
