Saginaw County Animal Care prepares for the ‘Fur Ball’

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Preparations have started for the second annual Fur Ball.

The Saginaw County Animals Care and Control is hosting the event to raise money for the homeless animals of Saginaw County.

Attendees will experience a fun-filled evening of dinner, dancing, live, and silent auctions with a chance to meet some adoptable pets.

All proceeds go toward building a new facility for homeless and mistreated animals of Saginaw County.

“The constructional integrity of the building is shot, the plumbing is not supportive of an animal shelter,” said Michelle Sawyer, who is heading of the Fur Ball event. “We really need a building that was designed by shelter architects to get all of the components that are needed to properly care for the animals and keep them healthy so that’s what we’re trying to do.”

The Fur Ball is Friday, May 18th at Apple Mountain.
