Man in critical condition after being assaulted in Flint

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

The Flint Police Department is searching for a suspect in an assault that happened Saturday afternoon.

Police said at 2:20 p.m. a fight broke out between two men in the Davison Road Market parking lot at 2319 Davison Rd.

One man began hitting the other with what police believe was a baseball bat.

Police said someone passing by intervened and the suspect then fled the scene in a silver-colored Blazer.

The victim was taken to Hurley Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.

Witnesses were interviewed and the scene was processed.
