A three-year-old Michigan boy is in the hospital after being shot in the head.

Police said it was a drive-by shooting early Sunday in River Rouge. The shooter is still on the loose.

"I just want my son to come home. See his other brother, his other sister,” said Danielle Davis, the victim’s mother.

The mother of three has spent the day watching her youngest son suffer.

"We were all sleeping and all I heard was POW! POW POW POW! And my baby rolled over, blood everywhere,” Davis said.

Three-year-old Jamar Quinn was shot in the head.

Police said a drive-by shooter fired at the front of the house and another person stood near the backyard and shot at the back of the home.

One of those bullets hit Jamar as he slept next to his mother.

Police haven't found the shooter. Davis begs them to turn themselves in.

"Whoever you are, please come forward. Please, please that's all I ask,” she said.

Neighbors are rallying behind the family and demanding change.

"We have a lot of kids on this block. We have a lot of kids on this block. And they need to make a difference because this doesn't make any sense,” a neighbor said.

Davis is now leaning on prayers to bring her baby home.

"My baby is suffering and he's innocent. And it's hard for me, it's hard for my family. There's just so much, what else can I do? I can't do nothing but put it in God's hands. And He has the last say-so,” Davis said.

Police said this isn't the first time the home has been shot at.

Earlier this week their front window was shot out in another drive-by.
