A Michigan community is mourning the death of a three-year-old boy who was killed in a drive-by shooting.

Jamar Lee Quinn, Jr. was sleeping Sunday when a bullet entered a River Rouge house and struck him in the head. Now, his anguished family is demanding answers.

“I just want my baby to have justice. I want people to tell me why,” said Danielle Davis, the boy’s mother.

Davis said her baby boy died from his injuries Monday afternoon.

Police said someone shot at the back of the home in a drive-by shooting. Minutes after the shooting, Davis said someone shot the home over and over and over again.

"He's suffering, he's just laying there...and that's sad...that's my baby!" Davis said.

Police said this is not the first time someone shot at the house.

Davis said just about a week ago someone shot up the front of the house shattering a window. The home was also firebombed. The chain of events are leaving little Jamar’s family with a lot of questions.

"Why did you shoot my baby in his head?" Davis asked.

The River Rouge Police Department said the case is still under investigation.
