ROSCOMMON COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A Mid-Michigan police department is sharing footage from their K9 unit’s latest training session.

Roscommon County Sheriff’s Department posted the video to Facebook showing Deputy Andrew Oneil and his partner, Kato, in action.

The department said the duo was performing an apprehension on an uncooperative subject. The “suspect” stands on the hood of a vehicle waving a “weapon.” Oneil gives Kato a command as he releases him to bring the suspect down from the vehicle.

A member of the Roscommon County community donated the funds to purchase and care for K9 Kato last year.

Kato also performs tracking and drug searches for the department.
