A local greenhouse is hosting a food drive and fundraiser to help out veterans.

Abele’s Greenhouse and the non-profit organization “I Support the 1%” team up to inform people of local veterans who could use some help.

Proceeds and donations go towards the veterans food pantry at the Harry Browne Airport.

“Abele’s has been doing this for us every year it’s to help support our veterans food pantry located out of Harry Brown Airport in Saginaw,” said Judy Adams, a volunteer at the event.

Also offering sweet treats and hot dogs the food drive lasts until Memorial Day.

Those donating will also receive a ticket for a chance to win a $100 Abele’s gift card.

Donations are accepted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
