SANDUSKY, OH (CBS) -

Scary moments at the Ohio amusement park Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.

Witnesses said smoke was coming from a ride as part of the amusement park was without power.

According to witnesses, many people were on rides when the power went out.

Rides stopped, including the 300-foot-tall Millennium Force roller coaster, as temperatures hovered near 90 degrees.

In one video, smoke could be seen coming from the platform area of the Sky Ride at about 2:15 p.m.

According to reports, the approximately two-hour outage was caused by a car crashing into a utility pole.

Officials said the power company, Ohio Edison, worked to resolve the power outage as soon as possible as some park goers also posted photos of crews working on nearby power lines.
