PONTIAC, MI (WNEM) -

Authorities say bomb squad officials had to disarm a pipe bomb at a Michigan home.

It happened Monday on the 30 block of Evelyn in the city of Pontiac.

Oakland County Sherriff’s Department called for help from the Michigan State Police’s bomb squad when the device was discovered.

They determined the bomb was viable and removed it from the area.

Homeowners where the device was found told investigators they have not had any threats or problems with anyone.

Police are investigating who made the bomb and how it got placed in the neighborhood.
