State Lanes bowling alley to close

SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

The owner of the State Lanes bowling alley in Saginaw County announced it is closing its doors.

"It is with heavy heart that we need to announce that State Lanes will be closing its doors after business hours this Friday," said Steven Doyle, owner of State Lanes.

The bowling alley is located at 5707 State Street in Saginaw Township. 

Doyle posted the announcement on Facebook and said, "we appreciate your friendship and business over the last nine years, but we cannot afford to stay open any longer."

The last day of bowling at the alley will be Friday, June 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Games will be only $1 and shoes will cost $2 per person.

Cosmic bowl will run from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Games will cost $10 for two hours and shoes will still be $2 per person.
