HEMLOCK, MI (WNEM) -

Some local Eagle Scouts were honored this weekend.

Two members from Hemlock Troop 337 received their Eagle Scout ranks.

To earn their ranks, brothers Dakota and Chayton Ross dedicated years of work to their community.

“It felt relaxing to know I have it and I can just help the troop out and push them to Eagle now,” Dakota said.

“I’m happy we have a lot of support from everyone here, it’s just nice to know that there's so many people that like to be part of scouts,” Chayton said.

Recently the two were involved in painting and lighting the Hemlock VFW Pavilion.

They also helped raise money for the purchase and installation of new soccer goals for Richland Park.

The court of honor ceremony was held at the Hemlock VFW post.
