HURON COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A Huron County woman was arrested for selling heroin.

Katelyn Taylor, 23, of Elkton, was taken into custody after a traffic stop on the north side of Bad Axe about 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

Search warrants were obtained for her vehicle and phone and investigators seized more than $700 in cash and about $900 worth of heroin and prescription pills, Huron County Sheriff Kelly Hanson said.

Taylor was lodged in the Huron County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

There was a small child who was with her at the time of her arrest and Child Protective Services assisted in finding placement for the child for the night.

There was also a 23-year-old Elkton man in the vehicle who was arrested on unrelated court proceedings, Hanson said.

Further charges are being considered.
