SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A manhunt is over after a suspect fled from police in Mid-Michigan.

Lt. Dave Kaiser with Michigan State Police said a trooper stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation Thursday morning along M-13 between Saginaw and Bay County. The driver, a 44-year-old Bay City man, took off on foot into a nearby wooded area.

Officers and K-9 units were brought into the area to search for the suspect. Kaiser said a K9 officer located the man just before noon.

The suspect had a suspended driver's license, according to police.
