LANSING, MI (WNEM) -

How young is too young to vote?

Democratic lawmakers introduced bills in the House and Senate that would lower the voting age in Michigan to 16.

However, it's a legislative long shot.

The bills would require changing the state and federal constitutions.

The last time the voting age changed was in 1971 when it dropped from 21 to 18.
