A Michigan company is recalling nearly 30,000 pounds of poultry and meat products due to misbranding.

Winter Sausage Manufacturing Co, located in Eastpoint, recalled 28,346 pounds of poultry, pork and beef on Thursday.

The poultry products were slaughtered under religious exemption, which was not declared on the label, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The products were produced on various dates from March 9 through June 4 and have establishment number “P-10158.”

The items were shipped to retail locations in Illinois, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

“There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider,” the USDA FSIS said.

If you purchased one of these products you are urged not to eat it. The products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
