FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Two skateboarders were struck by a vehicle, leaving one of them in critical condition.

The hit and run happened at 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, June 16 in the 3700 block of Corunna Rd.

The police investigation shows that a westbound dark-colored sedan on Corunna Road struck two people riding skateboards, who were westbound in the right curb lane.

The sedan fled west on Corunna Road after hitting the victims, police say.

James Patrick Burr, 17, was taken to Hurley Medical Center for multiple injuries and was listed in critical condition.

Joseph Rodger Anderson, 17, refused medical treatment. Police say he is in good condition with minor injuries.

Victim’s families were notified and were at the hospital.

Police do not know if drugs or alcohol are factors in this crash.

Officers are now searching for that dark-colored sedan with front-end damage as the investigation is still ongoing.

Anyone with information on this crash is asked to contact Sgt. Cholyonda Brown at (810) 237-6899.
