GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

An emu was captured on Thursday after it was spotted roaming Crossroads Village.

Several departments - including the Genesee County Park Rangers and Genesee County Animal Control - teamed up to safely and humanely capture the animal, the park rangers posted on Facebook.

The emu is being quarantined in a non-public location.

The park rangers are asking the owner of the emu or an interested adopter to contact Genesee County Animal Control at 810-732-1660.
