HURON COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A Sebewaing woman is dead after deputies said she failed to stop at an intersection and hit another vehicle.

It happened on at around 9 p.m. on July 10 at the intersection of Bay Port Road and Conboro Road in Huron County’s Sebewaing Township.

The Sheriff’s Department reports that Barbara Butler, 64, of Sebewaing, failed to stop at the signed intersection and hit another vehicle.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, 82-year-old Richard Biddinger, of Caro, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed in the area for around three hours for the investigation, which continues at this time.
