Racing with the Saints

Extreme sports fans were in Saint Charles on Saturday for the annual Racing with the Saints snowmobile race.

Racers took to the quarter-mile track at 11 a.m. after the race was postponed on Jan. 19 due to weather concerns.

Proceeds from the event will fund worthy causes and a local police officer recovering.

“We are going to give a donation to Officer Koenig,” said Phillip Siazik, the treasurer of Saints Snowmobile Club. “We donate to Hemlock, Merril, St. Charles Schools.”

Donations will cover scholarships, sporting equipment, gifts, and food for families in need.
