Mid-Michigan travelers can now take a one way fare from Flint to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for as low as $50.
The seasonal fare, from Allegiant Air, will operate two times every week.
“We’re excited to begin new nonstop, ultra-low-cost flights to Fort Lauderdale for Flint-area travelers,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant Vice President of Planning and Revenue. “This new route to Fort Lauderdale is the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to get away to a beautiful, sunny destination.”
The route will take travelers from the Bishop International Airport to the Hollywood International Airport.

"With the addition of Allegiant's nonstop flights to Fort Lauderdale, the foodie, arts and beach scene of the east coast of Florida will be easily accessible and affordable and affordable for everyone. Cruise lovers will also love the quick flight to their favorite port to call."
Earlier this week, Bishop Airport lost its Delta Air Line route to Minneapolis.
Bishop Airport spokesperson Pat Corfman said the last flight on that route will be on Nov. 26.
