Numerous Flood Alerts are in place around Mid-Michigan and it can be difficult to sort through the noise and find information for your area.
We've broken down the latest Flood Alerts that are in effect and we'll continue to update this information as new forecasts and information become available from the National Weather Service. A Flood Warning is in effect for the Saginaw River in Saginaw until further notice.
At 3 PM Tuesday, the river's stage is at 18.0 feet and slowly falling. Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
Minor flooding is occurring. The river crested at 18.6 Monday morning and is expected to fall below flood stage Wednesday morning.
Hydrologic Outlook issued for: Roscommon, Gladwin, Arenac, Iosco, Ogemaw, and Alcona counties.
Heavy rainfall is expected in the region Wednesday night into Thursday.
Rainfall amounts are expected to range from 0.50"- 2.00" over the next few days.
Flooding may occur because the ground is already saturated from the earlier rains.
Small streams and rivers could rise close to or above flood stage Thursday.
