Michigan State Police confirm that a missing 2-year-old has been found safe.
Mileah Hill was reported missing at 3:43 a.m. Tuesday in Saginaw. She was found Tuesday afternoon in the Grand Rapids area according to Det. Sgt. Reggie Williams with the Saginaw Police Department.
Makayla Williams,15, who police say took the toddler is in police custody, along with another person. It's not clear at this time who that other person is. The 15-year-old was staying with the 2-year-old’s family, police said, adding she is a runaway from Grand Rapids. She is also Mileah's cousin.
Mileah was taken from a residence on the 1500 block of Walnut Street, police said.
An Amber Alert was issued for Mileah on the Michigan Amber Alert website.
Michigan State Police said an Amber Alert was not issued to cell phones because vehicle information was not known. That information is what triggers the Amber Alert to go out to cell phones.
Makayla Williams attempted another abduction about 10 a.m. on Tuesday, police said. She went to Jesse Rouse Elementary School and attempted to pick up her own 10-year-old sister, Lang said.
