Yellow airplanes will be flying around Bay and Saginaw counties beginning Monday.
The mission of the pilots is to dump product to kill mosquitoes.
The two counties will concentrate their efforts on seasonally flooded woodlands over a period of seven to 10 days.
In Saginaw County, the program will cover approximately 45,000 acres of mosquito breeding areas, while in Bay County, nearly 50,000 acres will be sprayed.
Bay County Central Dispatch said pilots will be spraying in Beaver, Williams and Bangor townships Monday and Tuesday.
To further reduce habitats, mosquito control was awarded an $8,000 scrap tire cleanup grant by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
