Alcohol is believed to be the factor of a crash involving a Saginaw County sheriff's cruiser.

It happened Thursday night at Rust and Sheridan on Saginaw's east side.

Police said a vehicle ran a red light as the cruiser was headed through the intersection.

The impact destroyed the front of the cruiser and caused the other car to flip over.

There were three people in that car.

Despite the apparent severity of the crash, there were only minor injuries.
