Waves of storms since Sunday night culminated in a round of severe weather that brought damaging winds and even brief tornadoes to Mid-Michigan on Tuesday night. With the clean-up and restoration now underway, the weather will be taking a more favorable turn in the coming days.
The slow-moving cold front responsible for the repeated bouts of storms since Sunday night, has at last moved east of the region. The storm threat now behind us, we can look forward to a pleasant and tranquil turn in the weather into Thursday morning.
Clouds will break up a bit, but skies will continue to wobble between partly and mostly cloudy overnight. More appealing will be the drastic change in the air mass! Temperatures will fall off into the low 50s and upper 40s by daybreak, along with a dramatic drop in the humidity! We'll be back to a hint of fall by the time we wake up.
Thursday will continue to feature partly to mostly cloudy skies. But, expect skies to slowly decrease in cloud cover throughout the day. Temperatures will be knocked down quite a bit. Highs are looking to reach into the low 70s. Humidity levels will be MUCH more bearable; another taste of fall.
Friday features a very pleasant day on tap. Sunshine will return in full force throughout the entire day. Temperatures will be begin to rebound with highs reaching the middle and upper 70s. Humidity levels will be staying bearable for yet another day, but will begin to rise going into the weekend.
