Michigan State Police Major Crimes Unit has arrested one person in the shooting death of a teenager.

MSP Lt. David Kaiser said a suspect entered a home in the 1500 block of Annesley Street for what was believed to be an attempted robbery.

A 16-year-old Saginaw man was in the home at the time and investigators believe he tried to confront the intruder, Kaiser said.

The 16-year-old, now identified as De'Tavion Lee Favorite, was shot and killed.

A 21-year-old Saginaw man is now in custody in connection with the crime.
