Three people killed in six-vehicle chain reaction crash


Authorities are investigating a deadly crash in Michigan involving six cars that claimed the lives of three people.

It happened near the intersection of Belleville and Ecorse Roads in Van Buren Township.

Police are calling it a high-speed, rear-end collision.

The crash claimed the lives of three people, including two who are believed to be the parents of an injured 10-year-old.

Our affiliates at WXYZ in Detroit report the young boy's injuries were minor and he was treated at a hospital.

The crash did shut down the intersection for several hours.

No other details have been released.
