After the Oakland County Sheriff's Department put out a picture of a boy found walking alone Tuesday morning, the child's parents have been located.

Investigators say the child was found on a sidewalk on Baldwin Road near Legrande Avenue in the City of Pontiac.

He says his name is Ben, and he was estimated to be about 3-years-old.

Because the boy didn't know his address, investigators appealed to the public for help.

Investigators now say that while looking around the neighborhood for the child's parents, someone gave them an address. When they went inside the home for a welfare check, a 16-year-old girl was found in a bedroom asleep.

The teen was not the designated babysitter and said she didn't know the child had been dropped off at the home. She was able to give the child's mother and father's names to police.

Investigators now believe there was a miscommunication between the parents and the babysitter who was supposed to be at that house when the child was dropped off in the morning.

The investigation continues.
