(Meredith) - A Florida man put a huge roll of "toilet paper" between two palm trees in his front yard to poke fun at the nationwide buying frenzy.

“I think the whole idea is crazy, the toilet paper phenomenon,” Donald Ryan told WBBH-TV.

He built the replica outside his home in Collier County, giving his neighbors a much-needed laugh.

"Everybody loves it," said Ryan. "You got to laugh, or you're going to just drive yourself crazy."

He even spray painted the name of his arts and crafts business, “Who Wood Wonder,” on the gigantic roll.

While the toilet paper replica is a huge hit in his neighborhood, Ryan said he's running low on the real thing.

"I don't even have toilet paper myself," he said. "I have like three rolls."
