(WOIO/CNN) - An Ohio driver said she is "frustrated" after being ticketed for swerving in the middle of the road to avoid potholes.

Alanna Corns speaks during an interview with WOIO-TV in Canton, Ohio.

On Sunday, Alanna Corns posted a picture of the citation she received in Canton. The state trooper who issued the ticket specifically wrote that Corns went "left of center dodging potholes" while there were other vehicles in the next lane.

"I have to take responsibility for that, but I moreso wanted to post it to get awareness because the roads are horrible," Corns told WOIO-TV.

She said she didn't come close to causing an accident because there was a turn lane in between her and the other cars.

Corns is still waiting to find out how much the fine will cost. She also has the option to protest the ticket in court during her hearing at the end of the month.

"If the city was doing what they were supposed to be doing, I wouldn't have to be dodging pot holes, and I wouldn't have gotten the ticket in the first place," Corns said.
