(KTRK/CNN/Meredith) -- A pregnant woman in Texas says an angry driver attacked her in a road rage incident Wednesday --and it happened in front of her kids.

The incident was caught on cell phone video.

The pregnant victim, who is not being identified, said she is bruised up and has bite marks from her attacker.

“She had me by the hair and she was also hitting me. I'm all sore from my left side,” the victim said.

The incident started when the attacker cut off the victim without putting on her blinker. The victim honked, and from there, the road rage got more intense on the two-lane road.

“She just started braking and braking and braking and braking,” the victim said.

The victim said once the cars got distance between each other, she thought it was all over. But then they reached a red light.

“I know I did the mistake of getting out of the car, but when you are in a situation like that, you know your mind goes black, you're in fear, you're in shock,” the victim said.

A brawl between the two broke out in the middle of rush hour.

The attacker hit the pregnant victim in the stomach. The victim said after she was hit, she tried to crouch down and guard her stomach.

Two men nearby came out to help. One of them is heard in the cell phone video saying, “Hey! She’s pregnant!”

The victim said it was a traumatizing experience, especially for her young children who were watching from the backseat.

The victim was able to get back in her car and call the police to file a report. She also got checked out at the hospital.

“I thank God nothing happened,” she said.

Police are now investigating and encourage witnesses to come forward with any information. The suspect has not been identified, but the victim is hoping they find her.
