Northwood softball’s Gregg Sauve retires as program’s leader in head coaching wins

MIDLAND, Mich. (WNEM) - Northwood softball’s Gregg Sauve retired with the most head coaching wins in program history.

He coached ten seasons with the Timberwolves and tallied 263 victories.

While Sauve was the coach, Northwood had nine straight winning seasons including the program’s first conference tournament championship in 2024.

He’s as humble as can be and gives credit to the student-athletes he coached.
