OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - One of the parents of convicted mass shooter Ethan Crumbley will be in court as her trial is set to begin on Tuesday.

Jennifer Crumbley is being charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Prosecutors argue that the couple ignored their son’s mental health needs before the shooting and that the gun that Ethan used to kill four of his classmates and injure seven others was easily accessible within their home.

Defense lawyers argue that the Crumbleys should not be criminally responsible for their son’s actions.

As of Monday, Jan. 22, Ethan Crumbley is serving a life sentence without parole.
