The 7th annual Harry Hawkins Award presentation was held at the Saginaw Club this evening.

Despite a late surge, the Oilers were no match for the Panthers running game with DeWitt getting the win 54-20.

The WNEM Sports team previews Mt. Pleasant and Harbor Beach as they prepare for their respective state championship games.

Four of our local teams were one game away from a trip to Ford Field and the Oilers and Pirates both punched their ticket to the State Championship Game.

Harbor Beach is now 12-0 and will look to advance to the state finals for the first time in 13 years.

Mt. Pleasant is keeping up their tradition by putting together an impressive season so far. The Oilers defeated East Grand Rapids 28-14 to earn their first regional title in 14 years.

Ogemaw Heights is coming off their first regional title in 16 years.

We’re less than a week away from the state semifinal round for high school football and we have four teams looking to punch their ticket to Ford Field. One of those teams is looking to defend their state title and that’s Goodrich!
