Road commission: Contractor’s truck shot at in work zone

MT. MORRIS TWP., Mich. (WNEM) – The Genesee County Road Commission (GCRC) said a shooting incident took place in a work zone on Monday morning, June 10.

A contractor was driving in his work truck when someone drove by and shot at the vehicle, the GCRC said, adding the contractor was not injured.

The commission said it filed a report with the Mt. Morris Township Police Department, and they will be stepping up patrol near the work zone.

GCRC is reminding drivers to drive safely near construction workers.
