Girl killed, 6 hurt in crash involving horse-drawn buggy and pickup truck

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Va. (WWBT/Gray News) – One person was killed and several others were injured after a pickup truck collided with a horse-drawn buggy in Virginia on Sunday.
According to officials with Virginia State Police, there were seven people on board the buggy at the time of the crash.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the other six people were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries ranging from serious to life-threatening.
According to police, the driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.
