New Ronald McDonald House family room unveiled at Covenant

SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Michigan and Covenant HealthCare unveiled the new family room on the second floor of Covenant Children’s Hospital.

Those at the hospital said the new addition will provide three private rooms with beds, two wellness rooms providing privacy to family members, and more.

Tony D’Anna, chairman of Frankenmuth Auto Fest and a man who helped breathe life into the project, said he’s thrilled the room will help local children.

“These children, they’re all innocent, you know?” D’Anna said. “They come into this world and they need help.”

A full-time staff member will also be there to support families visiting.
