Middle school teacher accused of renting hotel room for 4 unsupervised minors
TARBORO, N.C. (WITN/Gray News) - A middle school teacher in North Carolina is facing charges after deputies said Wednesday that several minors were found in a hotel room.
According to Edgecombe County deputies, the investigation began after they received a report that Fantasia Bridgers, a teacher at W. A. Pattillo Middle School, had rented a hotel room where four unsupervised minors were staying.
The sheriff’s office said a report was then made to the county’s social services department and public school system.
Bridgers was arrested and charged with four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and failing to report abuse or neglect.
She was given a $5,000 bond.
Officials did not release any further information.
