You guessed it... sunshine rolls into the new workweek
SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - What a beautiful Sunday, right?!
Skies have been filled with sun once again and we’re headed toward another pleasant evening, and as much as Monday’s are a drag, we should have a smooth start to the upcoming workweek. As for any rain chances? If we do see any, they’ll likely be toward the end of the week and into next weekend, though it’s too early to say they would significantly impact next weekend’s plans.
We continue to emphasize the need to be very careful with burning, and it would be wise to stay informed with your local officials, just to be on the safe side.

This Evening & Overnight
Outside of any burning hazards, we should have a beautiful night ahead of us. Skies will be sunny to mostly sunny through the evening, with clear and mostly clear skies expected into the overnight hours. Our sunset time tonight is around 9:10 PM, so you’ve got plenty of time to enjoy the evening.

Temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s through sunset, eventually cooling off into the 40s and 50s for overnight lows.
Winds tonight should remain light and variable, if just not dropping off completely to calm winds.
Monday

Mostly sunny to completely sunny skies will continue on Monday, with the only change being unfortunately another round of northeasterly winds that will keep many areas on the cooler side. It should still be a very pleasant day, but will cap many of our temperatures to the east.
Highs should land around the middle to upper 70s farther inland, but there will be some 50s and 60s near the immediate shoreline areas.

Those winds will be around 5 to 15 miles per hour for many, but those closer to Lake Huron and the Saginaw Bay will be sustained closer to 10 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts near 25 to 30 miles per hour.
Winds will ease up Monday night, but remain out of the northeast around 5 to 10 miles per hour. Largely clear skies will last through the evening and overnight hours.
