Seniors pull epic prank on high school principal with a wake-up call he’ll never forget
GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WXII) - A North Carolina high school’s senior prank was anything but ordinary for their principal as dozens of students showed up at his house at 5 a.m. for a wake-up call he won’t soon forget.
Northwest Guilford High School Principal Dr. Brian Muller got an unusual wake-up call Wednesday morning from dozens of his students.
“I was surprised,” Muller said. “It was wholesome fun. Honestly, I took it as kind of an honor that they thought to include me in on the senior prank.”
Since Wednesday was the last day seniors would be on campus, they decided to start the day off with their principal. Around 56 students showed up at Muller’s house at 5 a.m. and sneaked inside. Doorbell camera video shows them plotting their entrance.

“It was just really fun to be able to get to do that with your principal,” one student said.
“There was 130 people in the group chat. Their whole family was in on the prank, and everybody knew except him,” another student said.
One of the seniors was able to get the house key from Muller’s son Tuesday night. The next morning, they woke their principal up by blasting “Pomp and Circumstance” then Justin Bieber.
The students wanted to include Muller in their prank to give back after everything he’s done for them.
“Throughout the school year, he has made everything easier. He’s been communicating with the seniors a lot to help elevate the school, and it’s just been good,” one senior said.
“He wants a very good relationship with every individual student… he wants to know your name, wants to get to know you [and] wants to make sure you have the best life in 10 to 15 years," another student said.

Muller says the only thing lacking about the prank was his breakfast.
“I think they should bring food next time. Honestly, I was disappointed we didn’t have pancakes ready to go after they came in at 5:15. I told the class of 2027 next year they need to bring pancakes,” he said.
Still, it was certainly one wake-up call that Muller will never forget, and these seniors might go down in history as prank war champions.
“I think it’s fun,” he said. “It’s fun for students. It’s creating memories, and this is the best prank I’ve seen over the years.”
