MSP: Sebewaing man dies in crash with tractor-trailer
HURON CO., Mich. (WNEM) - A 57-year-old Sebewaing man died after he was involved in a crash with a tractor-trailer, according to Michigan State Police (MSP).
The crash happened on Unionville Road near Loomis Road in Huron County’s Sebewaing Township on Monday, Jan. 27, at 10:17 a.m.
A 34-year-old Crystal man was heading southbound on Unionville Road in a tractor-trailer when he lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic, MSP said. He hit a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer heading northbound, driven by the Sebewaing man.
The Sebewaing man suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, MSP said.
The Crystal man was treated for minor injuries on the scene, according to MSP.
Icy road conditions and high winds were cited as factors in the crash, MSP said.
The crash remains under investigation.
