No tolls for July 4, Summer weekend discounts

BAY CITY, Mich. (WNEM) — Bay City Bridge Partners announced special summer pricing on Liberty and Independence bridges.

From June 6 to Aug. 30, BCBP will offer a 50% discount on Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles with eligible BC-PASS transponders on Saturdays and Sundays. Tolls will be reduced to $1 for Class 1 vehicles and $2 for Class 2 vehicles with the discount.

All travel on Liberty and Independence bridges will be free on July 4. BCBP said it was in celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary and clarified that cars will not need a BC-PASS transponder to avoid toll charges on July 4.

Drivers can register for a BC-PASS at the Customer Service Center located at 300 Center Avenue, Suite 101, in Bay City. Required documents include vehicle registration, a valid photo ID and a debit or credit card.
