Road and parking closures in Midland during LPGA Dow Championship
MIDLAND, Mich. (WNEM) — The LPGA Dow Championship returns to Midland June 8-14, and the city is planning several road and parking closures during the event.
Currie Parkway will be closed to traffic from W. Main Street to Golfside Drive, except for northeast-bound traffic for authorized vehicles only, from 6 a.m. Monday, June 8, until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 14.
Parking will not be allowed at the following locations from 6 a.m. Thursday, June 11, until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 14:
- The east side of Dyckman Road from W. Sugnet Road to Clover Lane
- The north side of Helen Street from W. St. Andrews Road to Noeske Street
- Both sides of Hill Court from W. St. Andrews Road to the end of the court
- The east side of Hillcrest Road from W. Sugnet Road to N. Saginaw Road
- The east side of Holyrood Street from Helen Street to Noeske Street
- The east side of W. Nelson Street from W. St. Andrews Road to Balfour Street
- The east side of Noeske Street from W. St. Andrews Road to Balfour Street
- The north side of W. Sugnet Road from Eastman Avenue to N. Saginaw Road
- Both sides of W. St. Andrews Road from Eastman Avenue to N. Saginaw Road
Stopping, standing and parking will be prohibited on W. St. Andrews Road from Noeske Street to 1217 W. St. Andrews Road, from 6 a.m. Thursday, June 11, until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 14.
The westbound lane of W. St. Andrews Road from Noeske Street to the driveway at 1120 W. St. Andrews Road will also be closed to traffic during this time.
Traffic is expected to be heavy around the Midland Country Club and Currie Municipal Golf Course, and residents are encouraged to avoid the area if they are not attending the LPGA Dow Championship.
