What you need to know about the upcoming Michigan deer hunting season

MICHIGAN (WNEM) - Michigan’s deer hunting season is almost here.

The season officially starts Sept. 13-14 with the Liberty (youth) Hunt, but kids will still need to be licensed to hunt that weekend.

Early antlerless firearm hunting is Sept. 20-21 with archery season kicking off on Oct.1 and running until Nov. 14. It starts up again Dec. 1 and runs until Jan.1. Regular firearm season starts on Nov. 15 and runs until Nov. 30, with muzzleloading scheduled for Dec. 5-14.

Extended archery runs through Jan. 31 of next year for Huron and Tuscola Counties.
