19-year-old “Cinnamom Bandit” arraigned for break-ins
GRAND BLANC TWP., Mich. (WNEM) - A 19-year-old Burton man has been arraigned on charges for breaking into a local business several times.
William Quron Knott is charged with three counts of breaking and entering a building with intent, a felony punishable by up to ten years in prison; two counts of malicious destruction of property valued between $1,000 and $20,000, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison; and one count of resisting and obstructing police, a two-year felony.
Knott was arraigned in 67th District Court on Wednesday, Dec. 10.

Knott is accused of breaking into CINNAMOM, a Grand Blanc Township business four times. The business was first broken into early Sunday, Nov. 16, the door smashed with a hammer. The business said the intruder then stole cinnamon rolls and Monster Energy Drinks. An hour later, the bakery said they returned for the hammer they left behind, took cash from the register, and smashed the screen on the POS system.
The business was broken into again overnight on Tuesday, Dec. 2, where the suspect took cash.
Knott was caught and taken into custody after the latest break-in on Saturday, Dec. 6. just before midnight.

At the time of his arrest, Knott had a note in his pocket that he allegedly planned on leaving the bakery, where he was calling himself the “Cinnamon Roll Bandit”.
According to court records, his bond has been set at $2,000.
Knott’s next hearing, a probable cause conference, is scheduled for Dec. 18 at 8:30 a.m.
